Japan names Olympic team.

Japan has become the first country to announce it's full olympic team for London 2012. Team Japan brings plenty of experience, with only Ryohei Kato NOT having been on the 2011 world championship team. On the men's side Japan has realistic hopes of taking the team and all-around golds, and their women are talented and could easily make the team final and perhaps take some individual medals.

Japan may be the only country to count 3 siblings on one team, in the form of Rie, Yosuke and Kazuhito Tanaka.

(Front row L-R) Yuko Shintake, Koko Tsurumi, Asuka Teramoto, Yu Minobe, Rie Tanaka, (back row L-R) Yusuke Tanaka, Ryohei Kato, Koji Yamamuro, Kazuhito Tanaka and Kohei Uchimura pose on the podium as they qualified for the Japan gymnastics team for the London 2012 Olympic Games after all the competition during day two of the 51st Artistic Gymnastics NHK Trophy at Yoyogi National Gymnasium on May 5, 2012 in Tokyo, Japan.

What do you feel about the timing? Is this too soon because of the risk of injury, or is it better to have time to train with confidence that your place on the team is assured?  please comment!
