Italy's Mariani Wins Junior European Title

The reign of the Russian juniors over Europe may be coming to an end. 14 year old Enus Mariani has reinforced the fact that Italy are going to be a force to be reckoned with over the next olympic cycle.

For all the juniors here, London 2012 is not a possibility, they have 4 years to train smart and build-up to the next olympics in Rio.

Success on the junior level at Europeans often translates well to senior success too. Just 2 years ago the junior all around podium consisted of now-senior leaders Komova, Grishina and Iordache.

GB's Gabrielle Jupp also continued GB's streak of strong performances in Brussells, finishing 5th all-around. Team-mate Angel Romaeo had some errors on bars and finished 15th. GB will be well represented in the event finals this weekend.
